Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 June 2026

This policy explains how ScaffJobs (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use scaffjobs.com. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect

  • Account data: your email address and company details (name, website, tagline, logo, contact email, phone) when you register as an employer.
  • Job listing content: the information you submit when posting a job.
  • Newsletter data: your email address, and first name if you provide it, when you sign up for job alerts by email.
  • Usage data: if you consent, analytics data via Google Analytics 4 (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account and job listings.
  • To review, publish and display listings on the site.
  • To send service emails (listing submitted, approved, rejected, or expiring).
  • To send the email job alerts and updates you have asked for, if you sign up.
  • To understand and improve the service (with your consent).

Lawful bases

We rely on contract (to provide the service you sign up for), legitimate interests (to operate and secure the site), and consent (for analytics cookies and for marketing or job-alert emails, both of which you can withdraw at any time).

Sharing & processors

We use trusted processors to run the service:

  • Supabase: database, authentication and file storage.
  • Resend: sending transactional (service) emails.
  • Brevo: sending marketing and job-alert emails, if you sign up to them.
  • Vercel: hosting.
  • Google Analytics: analytics (only with your consent).

We do not sell your personal data. Some processors may transfer data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts and their data are deleted after 2 years. Expired job listings may be retained for record-keeping for a limited period. If you subscribe to our emails, we keep your contact details and the record of your consent until you unsubscribe, and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your data, and to data portability. You can delete your own job listings at any time from your dashboard. To request account deletion or exercise any right, email privacy@scaffjobs.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
